Are you "warm" or are you "cool"?

Since I was born a redhead, it was always very obvious to me what colors flattered me and what did not, but I know it's not that "black & white" for everyone.

We all have experienced what it's like to wear our “right” colors. People notice YOU first, not what you’re wearing. Your eyes pop, everything harmonizes and you look younger & more refreshed.

You can look and feel like that everyday if you wear “your true colors," but the basic rule is to first ascertain if you look best in a Warm Palette or a Cool Palette.

One of the simplest ways is look at your veins. My friend Jane was surprised when I showed her my green veins. She just assumed, like her own, everyone's appeared blue. Not that my blood is any different than hers, but my skin has a yellow tint, thus giving my veins a green appearance. Jane clearly looks best in Cool Tones and I, without a doubt, look best in Warm Tones.

If your veins are not as easy to find, try the jewelry trick. Think about whether you look better in silver or gold jewelry (Not what you like more, but what actually makes you looks best on you... ask a friend if you can't be subjective.) If you have cool undertones, you look better in silver & platinum and warm-toned women look better in gold.

The Warm colors are yellows, oranges, browns, yellow-greens, ivory’s, and warm reds, while the Cool colors are blues, greens, pinks, purples, blue-greens, magentas, and true “blue-based” reds.
