Several years ago, Denise was commissioned to create a Clerical Stole. She reluctantly approached the project and discovered another way to express herself. She likes to compare it to painting with fabric and fibers and continues to work on and add new pieces.

Birch Tree Grove

This magical Birch Tree Grove is a combination of different fabrics and fibers.

Velvet pond with fiber filaments. Koi are a combination of vinyl, raw, silk, cotton and pleated fabric all from Denise's larger projects.

Some Enchanted Evening

The horizon is achieved by layering strands of ribbon. The moon is cotton with organza swirled on top. The tree silhouette is raw silk and the thin branches and foreground are eyelash yarns and thread.
