30 Days, 30 Ways! Day 28: The Will-o'-the-wisp

The river flows at its own sweet will, but the flood is bound in the two banks.

If it were not thus bound, its freedom would be wasted.

I'm sure I'm not the only woman with a pile of scarves that sit in a drawer or on a closet shelf.

I love fabric and am attracted to everything from heavy brocades to accordion pleats to the richest of velvets and the lightest of silks.

After donning my Gold & Brown Brocade Scarf twice over the iconic KOKOON Farrah Wrao Dress, I decided to go the opposite extreme with this wispy, semi-sheer silk.

I'm wearing it as a Sash just like in "Day 21: Here She Comes, Miss America," but this is when the nature of the fabric takes over. For Day 21, I could fold it, shape it and have it lay crisply where I wanted it to be. This lovely, willowy piece of silk pretty much flows and drifts with a will of it's own. I tried to gather it, I tried to control it and then I realized, what's the point! It's lovely just how it is. This is when those little "stay put pins" of mine come in handy. I have one at my shoulder & one at my hip. The silk will remain it's liquid, fluid self while staying in place. Much like the river between it's two banks.

I'm wearing the Llynda More Brown Snake Skin BootTops in the Band & Ruffle Style. It's one one of my favorite ways to wear the boots. That's what I love about these boots. They give you all these options and you pick & choose what suits you best. Yeah! Freedom to do what YOU want!
