30 Days, 30 Ways! Day 23: Treat your friends right!

"Care for your clothes, like the good friends they are!”

~ Joan Crawford

For those of who have asked; I truly am wearing this dress for 30 Days. It might not be 24/7, but when I have a networking event, a meeting with a client, tea with a friend, running errands, etc... I'm wearing this dress.

Now the unspoken question: Is it clean? Yes! I have washed it several times and that's one of the beautiful things about this dress.

I hand wash it at night and by the time I wake up, it's dry. What a perfect travel companion!

You could probably put it in "Machine Wash Gentle," but my experience with clothing that has long ties, is they have the potential to caught up in the agitating thingamajig in the center of most washing machines and could possibly damage the dress.

I just don't take that risk. Also, I'm old school. The less heat, friction and agitation(who likes being agitated?!) you expose your clothing to, the longer they'll look like new! It's worth it to me. Especially for a classic like the KOKOON Farrah Wrap dress.

(It's really not that much trouble!!!! You soak it for 20 minutes, rinse it and hang it dry. NOT A BIG DEAL!)

This morning, I truly had no clue what I was going to wear. I was feeling very silly, just bubbling up with all the pre- party excitement for our 10th Annual Solstice party. Glenn & I look forward to it every year. We have an Open House and our friends come & go thru out the night. It's our favorite time of the year.

Today we were busy doing all the prep; going to the market, picking up last minute bottles of wine at the State Store (yes, we live in Pennsylvania and they still have that antiquated system), etc...

Since I knew I was running errands I wanted to be really super comfy and since it was raining, I knew my hair was going to do whatever the heck it wanted, so I decided on the hat first. In a far corner of my closet, I found this flowing Halter top that I wear in the summer with my equally flowing skirts. I threw it on top of the dress and I was ready to go! The easiest preparation of the day by far.

Since I was all in solid earth tones, I decided on the Snake Skin Llynda More BootTop again. It's been my favorite for the last few days. I just folded it down inside itself to wear mid calf & straight. I gave this tip before, but it bears repeating. Once you decide on how you're going to wear your BootTops, I suggest you fold them into place before you put them on. It's easier and you know they'll be even!

Bye for now. Gotta' get cooking!!!!!
