30 Days, 30 Ways! Day 19: ...she wore brown velvet....

It's only the day after Christmas and it still feels like the Holiday. Friends will be dropping by in a bit so I was going for something comfy yet elegant.

You already know how much I love velvet, but I can't possibly resist it in a rich brown. When KOKOON had their Velvet Palazzo Pants in the Steal 0f the Week, it was no surprise that I already had several things to match. Between a chocolate brown velvet cami, finger-less gloves, headbands, scarves, etc... I knew I'd be able to coordinate these rich luxurious pants with something.

I discovered on Day 16 that if I took a scarf or wrap and attached it to each side of KOKOON's Farrah Wrap dress after I turned into a "jacket" (Day 8), the scarf functions as a flowing collar. Of course I already have a velvet scarf in shades of brown & rust, so while I was lying in bed this morning, I was planning this outfit for today.

I wish I could say that I had this all planned out for these 30 days, but some days, I'm literally flying by the seat of my velvet pants. Wish me luck for the next 11!

I learned the first time I wore these velvet pants with the Llynda More Ankle Boot alone (Day 3), the hem would sometimes catch inside. So I put the Bronze BootTop on "upside down" with the ankle part on my lower calf, scrunched it and pulled the wider end over the boot. Problem solved and it was fitting to have the bit of the bronze glitz peep out from under the velvet.
