30 Days, 30 Ways! Day 27: From here to Infinity...

"To infinity and beyond..."

~Buzz Lightyear

When I started this 27 days ago, it felt very abstract, much like infinity itself, but now that I'm nearing the end, I'm coming up with some fresh ideas. Who would have thunk!

As I already shared with you, Mariano Fortuny has been my favorite designer since I was a Fashion student all those years ago, so when ever I see anything with tight accordian pleats, I have to buy it. I saw this piece in the remnant bin at the fabric store on New Years day. It wasn't big enough to do much with it so I turned into an Infinity Scarf to wear with my Chocolate Brown coats.

My original plan for today was to do something similar to Day 21 and wear it like a Miss America sash, but after I slipped it over my shoulders, I liked the look. I twisted it into itself and used my "stay put" pins - Day 12 -to pin it on my shoulders asymmetrically. (You may prefer it symmetrical, but I am a little left of center. Plus, as I mentioned earlier, as a tallish woman with a boyish figure, asymmetry gives the illusion of curves.)

I'm going to a networking event with Polka Dot Powerhouse this Thursday. Pretty sure I'll be wearing this. The cool thing about this project is I can wear the KOKOON Farrah Wrap Dress to every networking event and meeting I have this upcoming year and between all my scarves & vests (half of them I haven't even shown you!) I'll never have to repeat a look! This is going to be fun!

Typically, when I wear the Llynda More BootTops, I wear it "fancy" side out, but I like how the sweater knit peeks out at the top and bottom cuffs.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I'll see you tomorrow... only 3 days to go....
